Reminder: If the water is not protected by lifeguards, enter at your own risk. The minimum age to enter the beach area alone is 12 years of age. To enter the water, while unguarded, patrons must be at least 16 years of age, per the Illinois Department of Public Health. Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other responsible person at least 16 years of age while entering the water. Swimming alone is not recommended.
On water assistance will consist of mast tip lifts for capsized boats and tows to shore in the event of equipment failure (demast or rigging failure, ripped sail, taking on water.)
On water assistance will be available when weather conditions are safe. If the water conditions are not safe, the boats will not be launched.
Boater assistance will only be offered when adequate staff is available.
No boaters will be allowed on the assistance boat.
At the discretion of the facility manager and if there is adequate staff available, boater assistance may be offered to tow boats to shore in the event winds die while vessels are underway.
