The Glencoe Park District working with the Glencoe Historical Society to help preserve Frank Lloyd Wright’s Booth Cottage through a potential land lease of Park 7N (located at Maple Hill Road and Meadow Road).
The Glencoe Park District continues to discuss Park 7n with residents both in favor and concerned about the move of the Booth Cottage.
In the last month, the Glencoe Park District has held five citizen meetings and a neighborhood meeting to discuss the issue. The Park District is very pleased to have the opportunity to discuss the pros and cons of this project, as well as address neighbors’ concerns.
At the January 21 Board of Commissioners meeting, the Glencoe Park District and Glencoe Historical Society entered into an agreement to help preserve Frank Lloyd Wright’s Booth Cottage through a land lease of Park 7N (located at Maple Hill Road and Meadow Road). Since then, a number of questions have arisen. Here are the answers to some of the frequently asked questions.
The Glencoe Historical Society, Village and Park District also invite you to a meeting to further discuss the Booth Cottage project at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in the Community Room at the Takiff Center.
